That is not really the problem. I just want to avoid creating problems
for users if I can help it and the wait is not too long. Users have
always been able to switch their adapter preferences, I do this all the
time. If waiting another week or two lets them continue to do so, then it
is worth it. Someone with a real itch for 1.4 can just download the
binaries and drop them in.
