[Subclipse-users] Problem and workaround, but no explanation for "ClientException: Path is not a working copy directory"

Hi,

I had the following problem:

I created a new repository and added an SVN repository in eclipse (on
windows 2000 v5, sp 4).

Then I tried to import my project to SVN and constantly run into

"org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Path is not a working
copy directory c:\tmp\testdir\"

I also saw this message on the console:

Filesystem has no item
svn: URL 'file:///repos/svnrepo/mybackupper' non-existent in that revision

I googled around and found some kind of a solution in

/org.tigris.subversion.javahl.ClientException?: Path is not a working
copy directory svn: 'C:\Documents and Settings\martinc\My
Documents\Rails\mailer' is not a working copy

However, if I click back and forward again, I don't receive the error a
second time and can proceed.

(found in http://trac.radrails.org/trac/ticket/896; watch out, some
anonymous added a dirty //'babes' //link//)
/
I tried that too - and it worked. (Sounds like that Microsoft joke with
the broken car, where the programmer suggest to go out of the car and in
again to make it run 8-)

It seems to be a workaround, but I still don't understand, what was the
reason for the exception...

Cheers

Markus
