RE: [Subclipse-users] NullPointerException when Synchronizing project which uses svn:externals

Hi,

Maybe you should try with a SUN JVM (also 1.4.2) instead of the IBM 1.4.2.
There are certain differences in the VM implementations, which might lead to
this problem.

I'm guessing the problem is dependent upon the Eclipse platform version,
though I've not been able to eliminate all variables.

No NullPointerException on:

* Linux + Eclipse 3.1.0 (GTK) + JDK 1.5.0_05-b05 + Subclipse 0.9.108
* Linux + Eclipse 3.1.0 (GTK) + JDK 1.5.0_05-b05 + Subclipse 1.0.1 (Eclipse
Build I20050627-1435)

NullPointerException occurs:

* Win32 + RSD 6.0.1 (~ Eclipse 3.0.2) + JRE 1.4.2 IBM J9 2.2 + Subclipse
1.0.1 (Win32 Fragment 1.0.1) (Eclipse Build I20040619-2000)

This is unfortunate as we're stuck using RSD for some of our development
work. (Actually, being forced to use RSD & RM is unfortunate regardless of
how well or poorly Sublcipse works with it, but that's another topic
entirely.)

Any ideas for workaround, other than abandoning svn:externals entirely
(which I can do, but I'd rather not)?
