Usernames and password are managed by your adapter. Are you using
JavaSVN? You can delete your Eclipse .keyring file to destroy its cache.
I would recommend not taking the save password option so that you are
always prompted. It only prompts once per session which is not bad.

Since you mentioned editing the entries file, perhaps you have the
username encoded in the URL? If so, you can probably right-click on the
connection and choose the Relocate option which lets you provide a new
URL.
