Just info:

When I refactored a package by simply renaming it (from project/X to
project/A.B.C.D.X) Subclipse seemed to do everything right.

I saw an add for each new path component (project/A, project/A/B,
project/A/B/C, project/A/B/C/D), then a move of project/X to
project/A/B/C/D/X, followed by one delete for every file originally in
project/X.

That looks about right to me.

If this works I'll try the more complex refactoring of a default
package.
