[Subclipse-users] Subclipse 0.9.103 not caching password

I am running eclipse 3.1.1 and updated subclipse today to 0.9.103 on
both Windows XP and Ubuntu 5.10
Now I am being asked for my repository passwords twice for every user
action (every folder I view). It looks like the option to use the
command line subversion client has disappeared. Save password seems to
be ignored. How can I set this up to work as before? Am I missing
something obvious?
The repositories I access use ssl on apache2 with basic authentication.
