This is not true. Subclipse has a client-side dependency on the version
of Subversion and that will never change. Once Subversion 1.3 is out, we
will likely only support that version. However, any version of a
Subversion client can talk to any back-end version of a Subversion server.
This might change when Subversion eventually goes to 2.0. But as long as
Subversion is at the 1.x level it is true.
JavaSVN does not currently support talking to 1.0 servers but that is a
limitation of JavaSVN not Subclipse. I also believe they have added this
support in their trunk so we will likely have it in a future version.
