Problem deleting properties in subclipse 0.9.34, Subversion 1.2.4, Eclipse 3.1.1

I have successfully added a couple of properties to a file via Team>Set
Property and committed these to the repository.

I now wish to remove one of the properties. Team > Show Properties brings
up the SVN Properties Viewer. I select the first property, via the context
menu select Delete Property, get a confirmation dialog and confirm the
action. However, the entry is not removed from the view, I see the following
in the console log

propdel needs-lock Z:/workspace/SimpleProject/Folder 1/file.txt

but no reply (in blue).

The message above the properties continues to say "No properties have been
modified since last commit". A Team > Commit has no visible effect.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
