I am not really working on anything at the moment. I would suggest posting
a message to the dev@ list just as you are about to start something. Then
if someone were working on that, they could tell you.

Sounds good. I have been wanting to do something like that too. Just an
FYI, if you select a file as opposed to a folder when you open that view,
then there is a compare option available.

Look at the history of a branch. The description contains the "copy from"
info,
