The version numbers in general are not something you can rely on in the
Synch view. All they really show you are the HEAD revision of the
repository, not the last changed revision of the file itself. This is
because the version number is not currently returned to us in the API we
use to populate the Synch view.

You are probably better off just turning off the display of that info in
the Synch view.
