if it is actually a VM crash (not sure from what you sent), then there
is no way to do anything about it.
the way it works now, is that it attempts to load the javahl
interface, if that fails, it just silently switches you to CLI (if the
VM doesn't crap out on you first). that wouldn't have worked for you
anyway, since you don't have either one installed apparently.
