[Subclipse-dev] Subclipse Development build available -- new merge client from CollabNet

If you like living on the edge, there are development builds for the
next major Subclipse release available. This version of Subclipse has
a hard requirement on Subversion 1.5. Right now that means using a
trunk build of a specific revision of JavaHL. Because of this the
builds are only available via this site:

http://merge-tracking.open.collab.net/

The reason is that we are also providing binary builds of JavaHL for
Windows and Linux on that site. Sorry no OSX at the moment you would
have to build Subversion yourself.

In addition if you visit this site you will see that CollabNet has
been working on a new merge client for Subversion 1.5 that is built on
top of Subclipse. You can also get that client from the same site and
I would encourage you to do so and give it a try.

There are a lot of cool features in this version of Subclipse and the
CollabNet Merge Client. I wish I could guarantee that using this
version was perfectly safe, but obviously I cannot do that. I can say
that I am using this version however and have been for a while.

I have been maintaining a changelog for Subclipse here:

http://subclipse.tigris.org/subclipse_1.4.x/changes.html

I have also been using the issue tracker fairly religiously. So you
can also look at this query:

http://subclipse.tigris.org/issues/buglist.cgi?component=subclipse&target_milestone=1.4

There were actually a lot of other nice enhancements that were part of
this but I couldn't take not having them and backported them to the
1.2.x release a while ago. So they do not show as 1.4 features any
more.
