Interesting idea. Hooks into bug tracking systems could be useful also.

Two other wishlist items for me is that I'd like the dialog to be 80
columns wide and I'd like it to automatically insert carriage returns
and/or fill regions at 80 as well.

The other is to have a "Details" button that shows which files will be
committed.
