CMake has come up in discussions from time to time. Once, it came up
when someone wanted to build the svn libraries for Android, IIRC. But,
so far no one has taken it upon themselves to reimplement the build
system using CMake (which, as you point out, is a big step). As we're
completely driven by volunteers, if anyone wants to give it a try,
please speak up!

Thanks for writing and mentioning how Wireshark is handling this...
(Also, thanks for Wireshark itself!)
