To explain/record the rational behind this a bit further:

According to [1][2][3] Gmane was taken down in July 2016 and sold to a
holding. The homepage is working again, but it doesn't seem to provide
any archive of the subversion mailing lists anymore [4]. Hence I take
it, we'd rather drop these no longer working links from our webpage.
