We decided to vote on merging branches. I've been looking at the
archives to find out why there was not a vote; it looks like a case of
lazy consensus to me.

In any case, the code has been on trunk for about a year now. We have
never, ever had a *vote* to pull code off of trunk. I see no good reason
to start now.

You still have, and always will have, the option to raise a veto. With
arguments. About specific problems in the code. I've asked you to do
that uncountable times. So now please don't try to hide behind community
decisions and raise that veto already, so that we can discuss it and
bring this sad state of affairs to an end.

Right now, I'm seeing *you* trying to strong-arm everyone else to do it
your way; no community involved whatsoever.
