While I do tend to agree with you re: confrontational, I think it is
also because Steven was very nebulous. It was a hand-wave "make it
better" rather than pointing to any specific problems, or providing
any specific solutions. That kind of approach sets off warning alarms
for the "old-timers" that have seen it all before.
