Oh, I recall this discussion well, and you're right: it's not something to
be proud of.
As you continue to make your requests, please try to keep in mind that
there's not a single person here that can speak for the whole project. As
has been the case for the past eleven years, what is and what isn't are
defined by actual work being done -- and running our mouths on a mailing
list doesn't count as work! :-)
