WIth time and interest? ... Hard to say. I know that cmpilato has
worked on mailer.py quite a bit.

Hopefully, Gavin will start tracking your patches so they don't get
lost in the cracks of the mailing list.

Yup. It isn't that it is "my" code (it's the whole community's), but I
am definitely interested in the problem space. The original
commit-email.pl was (imo) ugly, and I wanted to use the Python
bindings in a "real" application. Thus... mailer.py.
