AFAIK, googlecode.com etc should all be happy now. I'm happily using
ra_serf against serf.googlecode.com. The only thing I know can still
be a problem is transparent proxies that barf at chunked-encoded
bodies. At OSCON last month, O'Reilly used an old version of squid
which ra_serf didn't like. Tunneling over https can route around that
brain damage... =) Also, someone submitted patches to serf-dev to
make serf do C-L bodies rather than chunked - but I haven't looked at
it yet. (Perhaps Lieven has...)

One ra_serf thing I'd love to see is parallel commits - I think that'd
be sweet to add.
