This is a general question that deserves its own thread, I think. Any
of our web pages could get translated, not just faq.html.

I don't quite understand what you're proposing above, though. It sounds
like the Debian servers follow some conventions for finding pages in
certain languages (as directed by the user's browser). That's fine for
the Debian web site, but we're not talking about the Debian web site
here. And remember that we can't easily tweak the server configuration
of subversion.tigris.org; it's a hosted service.
