I would really like to see that fix in 1.5.0. What is the purpose of the test suite anyway if its 'OK' that tests are failing on a new major release?
(this is not offensively meant ;))

I'm currently rerunning the suite on Win32 with VS2005SP1. I had a bdb failure with rc5 as well. See (http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2008-05/0166.shtml).
