Emulating Perforce isn't something anyone sane wants to do. In
this specific example, 'svn edit' will be a pure-local operation,
and will never be held up by some lock or high load or whatever
on the server. I know you know this, but I couldn't help
reacting to this "emulating perforce" ;->.
