I regretted saying that as soon as I clicked Send. I was trying to be
funny, and did not mean to imply anything broader about it. The only
reason it even popped in my head is because in my recollection about
when the feature was raised it was put out there as "I know this
feature source incomplete, but we use a feature like this at Google
and it would just make some people's live easier when they use SVN if
it had it." Anyway, sorry. In retrospect, when re-reading the thread
it was not quite proposed the way I explained and matches what you
said more:
