sparse checkouts based on properties

Hello,

I have been looking at the new --depth feature, whose title
sounds exactly like something I would need.
Unfortunately, I fear what I want to do is not supported.
What I would need is something like:

   svn co ... --depth=property=somename

The idea being that it should be possible to set a property
"somename" on some files or directories, such that with the
option above, they are not checked out.

Would something like this sound reasonnably useful to be
supported at some point?

I would use something like this in order to have a "release mode"
checkout, which eliminates some internal files/directories in my
project.

Thanks for the great tool.
