Running test suite more and running it faster

It seems like people have put together a lot of good techniques for
running the test suite and running it faster. Is any of this
documented somewhere?

1) A good *nix/OSX script for running the 6-way tests? Or even 8-way (ra_serf)
2) How do you run tests from ramdisk?
3) Running tests in parallel
4) Other speedups (/dev/urandom)
5) A variant of #1 that puts some of these together
6) Bindings tests

I am probably not the only one that would run the tests more
frequently (beyond make check) if some of this were packaged up in one
place.
