Should switch --depth not record the Depth info?

Hi All,

While trying to review the Senthil's patch at
http://subversion.tigris.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=129118 , I
thought why are we not recording the depth info on a switched target?

Anything obvious I miss?

One more question should we support switch --depth=empty? Would it be of
any use? I could not think any usecase for that.
