Issue tracker heads-up

We have very many un-triaged (milestone "---") issues in the issue tracker.

We've also had a general increase in the total number of open issues.

To help us keep on top of issue triage, perhaps it would make sense for
there to be a weekly reminder email of issues with milestone "---" sent
to dev@? Remember, that this is the initial triaging - the initial check
over, confirmation that yes, the issue is not spurious - so this number
should approach zero.

We also need a way to promote the tackling of open issues - encouraging
people to pick stuff from the issue tracker when they get the urge to
code. Obviously, this isn't easy, and any ideas are welcome. Maybe we
could try picking an issue and then trying to keep an on-going
discussion about it alive on list, until it was fixed? I'm not sure if
that would do any good, but it's something we could try.

Max.
