One of our teams did have all their game assets (Maya models, textures,
etc) in a Subversion repository, but they recently removed them from the
repository and went back to having them all on a network drive due to
the extremely long update times. Aside from that, Subversion has been
operating very well for us. A faster update could be all that is
required to get them to put their data back into source control.
