I've not seen any deadlocks like this, but I have seen occasions where
an arbitrary test will fail because python is denied permission to
clean up a test area as it proceeds from one test to another. It's
always some windows error about 'can't delete: directory not empty'.
But it's epheremal, not reproducible, infrequent, and unpredictable.
I've always chalked it up to weird NTFS behavior. (I have no
antivirus software.)
