Hi Folks,

I just observed the mentioned behaviour when I was importing code from
my desktop PC to a local repository on my Laptop. Both PCs run under
Windows XP, SP2 with the latest patches.

FSFS repository created on the laptop with TortoiseSVN 1.3.1 (subversion
1.3.0 libraries)

Since the first import with TortoiseSVN took ages, I tried again with
the CL client and observed the same behaviour.

- - Import the basic project structure (/trunk, /tag, /branches) from the
desktop PC using a "file:///\mylaptop\repository\test" URL.

- - The import of three empty folders via the network share takes 2-3
minutes until the first revision has been committed.

- - A checkout into a blank folder runs lightning fast.

- - In the next step I added a text file and committed the change. It
takes about 30 seconds after "adding test.txt" until the "Transmitting
data" message shows up and another 2-3 minutes until "Revision 2
committed" appears.

Has anyone observed this behaviour too? Is it a bug in Subversion?
Network / Authentication timeouts?

Cheers
- - Lübbe
