This is the part I don't understand... you've mentioned "multiple competing
interfaces", when really, there are no such features. Much better SVN
logging is coming out with 1.3 as I understand it, but to control
checkouts/updates beyond what the authorization file can provide is still
not available.
I haven't really come across an argument that server side 'read' hooks are
not a good idea. I know that there's been some demand (not very much since
work arounds have been suggested), but are there people opposed to this idea
or is it that there hasn't been enough need for this to get going?
