Oh, so it is. Thanks, Philip. Sorry for not checking properly. That package
isn't on the CD images (which I know are incomplete), nor in my APT sources,
and I haven't been able to connect to an FTP mirror properly with YaST "Install
and Remove Software". Grr. Frustration.

Nevertheless after "ldconfig" and "make distclean" the build is working without
that symlink. It's not supposed to be picking up SSL anyway and I still don't
know why it was trying to do so.
