That's not the use case being argued here. The idea seems to be using
Subversion as a shared disk, to store big files for which nobody wants
to keep history data. It would ony used as a communication mean between
developers (or even departments). Subversion (or any other SCM software)
isn't suited for that job. They will be much happier (although they
don't know that yet =) ) with just using a network drive.
