Actually, you convinced me that you were right Karl way back when you
brought the issue up. -api is just too ambiguous. I suppose we could
use -apu and -apr-iconv but I really hate inconsistencies like that
because they're harder to remember.

If Justin really wants -api and -apu then by all means just make the
program accept them as equivalent to -apri and -apru and not bother to
advertise them. Then Justin can use -api and the rest of us use -apri.
Though personally, I think this is silly to do. But if it'll make the
issue go away then fine.
