I think it should be off by default.

The implications of having autoversioning clients run through revision
numbers should be something that the admin needs to think about. With
mod_dav_svn growing locking abilities, it'll mean that Mac OS X clients can
use autoversioning with httpd-2.0 without requiring mod_dav_lock from
httpd-2.1+ series. -- justin
