French translation?

Hi all,

somebody asked two days ago about a French translation and I remembered
an effort that was started a few months ago. I looked in the archives
and found those threads. Maybe you could contact the people who started
it to see if some work was already done. I don't think it wen very far
but maybe there is a list of most common words like repository, working
copy, commit, tag ...

While searching, I saw that the translation effort seemed to have
started twice, in July and October of 2004 look at:

I saw the name of François Beausoleil on both threads and I know he's
been posting quite recently to this list. Maybe he knows what's become
of these efforts.

If you need help in translating, I could help you a bit but I don't have
enough time to do half the work, we'd have to be more than 2.
