We have a mild preference for usernames that are recognizeably related
to the person's real name (like 'ehanchrow' or something), because
there are a lot of people to keep track of, and it gets hard to
remember who's who when the usernames are not mnemonics.

This is something we really should have asked you when we signed you
up, I apologize for not thinking of it then. Also, there is no
pressure: if you like 'offby1', then 'offby1' you shall remain. It's
totally your call. However, if you did want to change, what would be
involved is simply registering a new tigris.org user account, and then
fixing up all your old commits (which is easy, if you don't know how
we'll show you how).
