I think a mixture of your suggestions will make it for me: A rewrite rule
rewriting to the not-yet-maybe-never-public "!svn/bc/<REV>" syntax.

Thanks for your input!

btw: I tried the svn CLI checking out a repos including the
"!svn/bc/<REV>" instead of using the separate -r switch. It didn't work,
of course. Too much to hope ;-)
