Does the test suite for perl bindings pass? I'm interested to see the
migration to newer swig happen, as it seems to simplify installations.

Can you also see if you can link libsvn_swig_pl into the perl modules?
In this case the Perl bindings can be installed for different Perls on
the system. I am currently kludging this by linking the libtool generated
.a into SVN::Core.
