Well, we asked you. Plaintively, even desperately, I admit... but we

That sounds like a sensible approach, avoiding a needless multiplicity
of lists.

By the way, note that we don't expect list moderators to actually
enforce etiquette on mailing lists. List members can do their best to
influence new posters, but basically, it's up to the users to police
themselves. List moderation is mainly for spam-prevention and for
preventing truly off-topic posts (as in, someone accidentally mailed
to the wrong mailing list). If someone was really, truly flamingly
out of line on a consistent basis, then maybe it would be time for the
moderators to take technical steps... But that's very rare.
