RE: Again about svn-book in Russian.

Hi Vassily,

It's not so much that nobody is interested; the book translations did not
have a coordinator. While I volunteered to coordinate the message
translations (po), it turned out that others assumed that my work included
the book too. It does now :-)

So, your request has been picked up now. I must say that if it takes me a
while to respond, that's because I started at a new job 2 weeks ago, but I
*will* answer your mails.

As far as commit access goes, I can propose it to be set up. The mailing
list part is new to the Subversion project, so I have no idea if it'll fly.
There are some things I can tell you that will be required from your group.
All Subversion mailing lists are open to non-subscribers, but have
moderators to monitor non-subscribed postings. Your group will have to
supply two moderators for its list as I presume you will be posting in
russian (and besides that, there's nobody with any time to moderate another
list).

Also, recently a mailing list etiquette page has been added to the
Subversion site (http://subversion.tigris.org/mailing-list-guidelines.html)
and you will be held to upholding it. Not mentioned on the page, but
definitely something important in relation to the mailing lists is that the
project does not favor one operating system to another and we want our
project lists to reflect that.

If you are willing to do the above, I can propose setting up a mailing list.
I was thinking of l10n-ru@subversion.tigris.org implying that the list not
only be used for the book translation, but also for a .po translation
(should there be such an effort).

bye,

Erik.
