Point taken, but I think the best way to forestall that is to provide the same
information in a tightly-specified machine-accessible way, so that at least
you can tell people not to try to parse the output of `svn log' but to use
the appropriate programmatic interface. Subversion's internal use of XML
should make this easy (and no doubt XML was chosen at least partly for this
reason).
