I wish that were true :-). But some users are scripts.

For example, CVS recently changed the date format of 'cvs log' output.
This broke a very widely-used script, cvs2cl.pl, and we're getting bug
reports about it every day now.

My point is not that CVS shouldn't have changed. I'm just giving you
an example of how UI becomes API, and why we must be careful about
adding new interfaces.
