STATUS & fixing issue 1635

From: Erik Huelsmann <e.huelsmann_at_gmx.net>
Date: 2004-04-15 23:26:48 CEST

From STATUS:
"
  * r8949, r9084
Use subpools when processing multiple update and commit targets. (#1635)
Justification: Embarrassing scalability bugs; extremely simple patches.
Notes: Users (on TSVN in particular) have reported skyrocketing
memory when dealing with many targets. One user has already
verified that /trunk fixes the problems.
    Votes:
      +1: sussman, kfogel, cmpilato
"

Trying to merge these approved changes from trunk, I get a conflict. Trying
to find out why, I found that with respect to the same issue, Phillip Martin
did two commits (r9032, r9033 and 9044).

I also found out that the r8959 interfered with my merge. (Fixing 'switch')
Phillip, is there any reason this change is not nominated for 1.0.x?

bye,

Erik.
