Isn't "per-file labeling" exactly what properties provide for you? It
sounds to me like the CVS tag feature can be used to do two things:
- mark a collection of files at a point in time (what Subversion calls
tagging)
- add per-file labels (Subversion users would use properties)
Am I missing something about your usage?
