I personally love having the text-base files. It means that I can still do
diffs of changes revert files even when I'm working on the train etc and
don't have access to the actual repository. Maybe it would be possible to use
some form of compression in the text-base but in general I don't see that it
would provide any real benefits. The reality is that disk space is cheap why
jump through hoops to save a little bit of space ?
