I've tried to replace any *nix centric code. But there's probably still
some in the make stuff. If someone wants to work with me to find any
problems doing it on Windows then I'd be happy to see to it that any
remaining platform centric code gets replaced and we can make it
possible to build the perl bindings on Windows. I just don't have a
Windows box to do so myself.
