That's scary... I've specifically tried (and succeeded) building svn w/out
pulling any extra packages. It built just fine.

I'll try to replicate the problem w/ a ump kernel. BTW, the machine is ump but
apparently HyperThreading makes the system select an SMP kernel by default.
