I've uploaded a new version of the Subversion Book to
http://svnbook.red-bean.com. Now that we're in Beta with 1.0
approaching soon, we're trying to get our documentation up
to date again. (It's been bit-rotting for 10 months!)
There are still many book improvements to make (all listed in our TODO
file), but this latest iteration includes coverage for a bunch of new
topics not discussed previously. I've broken out the svnserve and
apache sections from chapter 5 and "exploded" them into their own new
chapter (chapter 6). New topics include:
* a new introductory table that comapres svnserve with apache
* how the client cred-caching system works
* how to use svnserve's built-in authn and authz abilities
* how to define custom svnserve tunnel-agents
* how to manage SSL server/client certs in the client
* how to configure mod_authz_svn (for per-directory access control)
Enjoy.
P.S. As I mentioned in an earlier email, the book is still a bit of a
moving target. Fitz, cmpilato and I still have some changes to make
this month before the book is ready for general feedback and/or
translation.
